Factorial raises $150mn to accelerate reset from SaaS company to AI workforce operations

AI workforce operations platform Factorial has raised USD 150mn for its Series D funding round that values the company at USD 2.5bn.

The Spanish company will use the funds to accelerate its reset from a SaaS company into an AI workforce operations platform, as it aims to become the single agentic infrastructure for European companies, and to deepen its penetration across Europe – in particular Germany, where a significant share of the new capital will be deployed as it represents its number one international growth market. Therefore, the company is scaling aggressively over the next twelve months across sales, customer success, product, marketing and engineering through its new office in Munich.

The round was led by General Catalyst, which made its first direct equity stake in the company, with participation by Atomico and Four Rivers. Alongside the equity round, General Catalyst is doubling down on its prior investment and is committing up to an additional USD 540mn through its Customer Value Fund. This brings total capital committed to over USD 700mn.

Betting on AI

The company has reset its product around AI, moving to an agent-driven platform that learns each customer’s policies, executes against them and adapts as the business changes. It has developed Factorial One, the platform’s unified workspace built around the premise that companies want fewer agents, clearer accountability and a single source of truth. Factorial One is a two-agent model comprising an agent that represents an organisation and another which represents an employee. The former holds and applies the policies a company defines across HR, finance and IT, while the latter represents an individual employee, multiplying what each individual can do within these policies. This includes drafting work, surfacing what they need and executing tasks on their behalf with full accountability.

Beyond Germany, Factorial will continue to accelerate across France, Italy and Portugal, which are already among the company’s fastest-growing markets. It will also expand its team globally by up to 50 new hires per week.
