Find out moreState Affairs has raised USD 70mn in total funding from investors including Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Tru Arrow Partners, Alumni Ventures and others to build out its AI platform for policy and regulatory intelligence.
The funding will support expansion of State Affairs’ real-time intelligence infrastructure and additional hiring of full-time reporters to widen coverage of state capitols across the country.
State Affairs combines daily exclusive reporting from journalists embedded in state capitols with structured government data gathered across all 50 states and the federal government, feeding an AI layer that turns the material into analysis, alerts and collaboration tools for its customers. Its newsroom produces more than 2,000 originally reported articles each month.
The platform is already used by one-third of state and federal elected officials, along with enterprises including Walmart, Mastercard and McDonald’s, to track legislation and regulation, compare policy trends across states and coordinate advocacy efforts.
