Supabase has raised USD 100mn in a Series E funding round led by Accel and Peak XV, valuing the Postgres development platform at USD 5bn. Figma Ventures and other existing investors also participated, taking the company’s total funding to more than USD 500mn.

The round follows Supabase’s Series D four months earlier and will support the launch of “Multigres,” an enterprise-scale version of its platform aimed at data-intensive applications. Supabase has hired Sugu Sougoumarane, co-creator of Vitess, to lead the project.

The company said it plans to reserve part of the round for community members to co-invest alongside institutional partners.

Supabase provides backend infrastructure for more than four million developers and counts over 100,000 customers, including PwC, McDonald’s and Github Next.
