Takt, a warehouse labor management and intelligence platform, is set to expand across the UK, EU and Asia-Pacific following its USD 9.25mn Series A round of funding, which was led by Ballast Point Partners.

The round represents the company’s first institutional financing.

As well as its planned global expansion, the capital raise will fund broader integrations with tier-one warehouse management, robotics and material-handling systems; support expansion into order orchestration, resource scheduling and engineering tools and develop a set of TaktAI agents that move from explaining what changed to acting on it.

What stood out about Takt was the evidence. Kenco standardized 19 distribution centers on the platform, plans to extend it to 30 more, and can point to results site by site. Enterprise operators do not expand a deployment at that pace unless the product is working.

So far, the company has enabled Kenco, a North American third-party logistics provider, to reduce the cost per pallet by 15% ($229,000) annually, while ODW Logistics replaced a legacy labour management system with Takt and reported a 29% improve in workforce performance and a 39% increase in employee retention.
