We wrap the week up with news Metropolis Technologies, a company applying artificial intelligence to real-world infrastructure, has raised USD 1.6bn through a mix of debt and equity to support its next growth phase. The capitalisation includes a USD 1.1bn Term Loan B arranged by JPMorgan Chase Bank and a USD 500mn Series D funding round led by a fund managed by LionTree. The Series D values the company at about USD 5bn and saw participation from BDT & MSD Partners’ affiliated credit funds, DFJ, Eldridge Industries, Slow Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Tekne Capital and Vista.

    CommanderAI, a sales platform for waste haulers, has raised USD 5mn for product innovation and to accelerate its go-to-market strategy. The round was led by 11 Tribes Ventures and Watchfire Ventures with strategic investors also participating. CommanderAI provides waste haulers with actionable intelligence to identify, target and secure new business opportunities.
  • AI copilot Cactus receives $7mn in seed funding
    Cactus, an AI copilot for home service businesses, has raised USD 7mn in seed funding from Wellington Management, Y Combinator, Pelion Venture Partners, Rebel Fund and other strategic investors. The company is targeting the USD 657bn U.S. home services market that is largely powered by phone calls and spreadsheets.
  • AUI raises $20mn to solve “missing half of conversational AI”
    Augmented Intelligence Inc. has raised USD 20mn, bringing its total funding to USD 60mn and a USD 750mn valuation cap. It raised the funds from eGateway Ventures, existing shareholders, strategic partners and an investor group from New Era Capital Partners. AUI is addressing the “missing half of conversational AI”, meaning it is solving for task-oriented conversations that lead to real-world actions such as bookings, payments and cancellations, areas which it says are largely unresolved.
  • Incredibuild makes second acquisition in a year, buys Kypso
    Incredibuild has acquired Kypso, a startup building AI agents for engineering teams, representing the company’s second acquisition following its acquisition of Garden. The move is part of the company’s transformation into an AI-driven developer platform for pipeline acceleration to deliver software quicker, improve code quality and boost productivity across the software development lifecycle.
  • Fastbreak AI raises $40mn for Series A round Investors
    Greycroft and GTMfund have invested in Fastbreak AI’s USD 40mn Series A funding round to support the company’s plans to continue building products for the pro market while at the same time expand its investment in youth and amateur sports technology. Other investors were major sports organizations such as the NBA, NHL and TMRW Sports, venture capital and growth equity investors, and professional athletes. Its flagship product, Fastbreak Compete, is an end-to-end platform that helps sports operators to run more efficiently and reduce the cost of participation.
  • Goldman Sachs Alternatives, A91 Partners lead $100mn funding round for MoEngage
    MoEngage, an AI-led customer data and engagement platform, has raised USD 100mn in new funding led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives and A91 Partners. With the fresh injection of capital, MoEngage will accelerate its product innovation, fuel its global expansion and strengthen its position in North America, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Specifically, it will grow its flagship Merlin AI suite, which is a collection of agents built for marketing and product teams to make data-driven decisions, automate campaign management and increase customer conversions.
    The company’s total funding has now crossed USD 250mn.
  • Aily Labs to accelerate global go-to-market expansion with $80mn raise
    Aily Labs has raised USD 80mn in funding led by FPV Ventures with participation from existing investor Insight Partners. J.P. Morgan and other strategic investors also invested in the round. The AI-native decision intelligence platform will use the funding to speed up its global go-to-market expansion and advance its autonomous AI agent ecosystem. Aily Labs was founded in 2020 and operates globally with teams of AI data scientists, engineers, business and product experts.
  • GitLaw launches AI agent with $3mn pre-seed round
    GitLaw, a San Francisco-based AI company, has raised USD 3mn for its pre-seed round to power the launch of its agent to help teams draft, review and negotiate contracts in minutes, for free. The round was led by Jackson Square Ventures with Flex Capital, Background Capital and several angel investors also participating.
    The funding will go towards GitLaw’s product development and AI platform expansion across the US and UK.
  • Procurement Sciences Closes $30 Million Series B round
    Procurement Sciences, an AI-native operating system purpose-built for businesses selling to the government, has raised USD 30mn for its Series B round of funding led by Catalyst Investors with existing backers Battery Ventures, Tower Research Ventures, K-Street Capital and Blu Ventures also participating.
    Since raising its Series A round eighteen months ago, Procurement Sciences has achieved over 10x revenue growth, enabled more than USD 3bn in customer contract wins, expanded its user base to over 300 organizations and grown its team from 16 to more than 70 employees.
