Emerald Technology Ventures has exited its position in SewerAI, the AI-powered underground infrastructure inspection and rehabilitation platform, following a strategic investment in the company led by JMI Equity.
Emerald first backed SewerAI in 2022. The platform now serves more than 2,000 cities and infrastructure organisations across North America, helping utilities and engineering firms manage ageing sewer networks through AI-driven inspection, risk assessment and rehabilitation planning. Emerald is a Zurich-based venture capital firm focused on industrial innovation. - Insight Partners leads $14mn Seed extension for Golden Analytics
Insight Partners has led a USD 14mn Seed extension for Golden Analytics, an AI-native analytics platform based in Washington. The round brings total seed funding to USD 21mn and coincides with the company’s public beta launch. Golden Analytics is rethinking business intelligence and rather than retrofit AI into legacy products, it connects to cloud data warehouses including Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift as well as file sources such as Google Sheets and CSVs, surfacing patterns and insights automatically. Users can move from raw data to finished analysis in a single session, with adjustable levels of AI assistance ranging from manual exploration to automated dashboard creation. The company launched from stealth in April backed by NEA and Madrona. - Novara acquires Ensogo to add AI sustainability platform
Novara, a safety and operational risk management software company, has acquired Ensogo, an AI-native sustainability and ESG platform founded in Toronto, in a deal that extends Novara’s capabilities into environmental compliance and carbon accounting. Ensogo’s technology will integrate with Novara’s Flex platform, adding predictive risk modelling, natural language analytics across safety data, automated compliance workflows, ESG data collection and validation, carbon accounting across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and regulatory compliance tools.The deal also expands Novara’s presence in Canada, adding to its customer base across manufacturing, mining, energy, oil and gas and construction.
Novara, based in Westminster, Colorado, provides safety and operational risk management software through its Flex and Risk Management Center platforms. - Relativity acquires Gavel to extend legal AI platform into Microsoft Word
Relativity has acquired Gavel, an AI-native legal technology company, to extend its RelativityOne platform into Microsoft Word, connecting legal data analysis with the drafting environment where lawyers work. Gavel’s technology allows work product generated within RelativityOne to be opened, drafted, edited and redlined directly in Microsoft Word, with each change syncing back to the underlying matter. RelativityOne is used by law firms, corporations and government agencies to organize, analyze and act on case data. The acquisition is designed to close a gap in that offering: legal documents including motions, briefs and contracts have historically been drafted in Microsoft Word, disconnected from the platform intelligence behind them. - Clio acquires Jurisage and its 470,000-case legal dataset to launch AI platform in Canada
Clio has acquired Jurisage, a Canadian legal AI company behind litigation drafting platform CiteRight, to gain the structured legal data it needs to bring its Clio Work product to Canada later this year. Jurisage’s database covers more than 470,000 Canadian cases across more than 40 courts and is updated daily. CiteRight was co-founded by Aaron Wenner and Ariel Nacson in 2016 and is used by some of Canada’s largest law firms. Wenner joins Clio as manager of Canadian content strategy. Clio Work, the company’s AI product for matter analysis, strategy and drafting, is its fastest-growing product globally. Its Canadian launch required a foundation of local legal data, which the acquisition now provides. - OurMind raises €2.1mn to tackle Dutch healthcare admin burden
Amsterdam-based OurMind has raised EUR 2.1mn in a Seed round led by 4impact capital, with a group of general practitioners and medical specialists also participating, to scale its AI platform for healthcare providers.
The capital will fund expansion of the platform across hospitals and general practices, broadening its applications to cover consultation preparation, administrative support and patient communication alongside its existing AI notetaking software. - HighPost Capital leads $35mn Series A in Turnout to scale AI-powered benefits advocacy
Turnout, an AI-powered consumer advocacy service, has closed a USD 35mn Series A round at a USD 400mn valuation. HighPost Capital led the round, with participation from Shine Capital, LGVP, Mangusta Capital, Honeystone Ventures and Omri Casspi. The capital will expand Turnout’s AI agent platform, Jake, and grow its nationwide network of licensed human advocates. Beyond its existing work in Social Security disability and Veterans benefits, Turnout will use the funds to launch two new verticals covering healthcare and education. Turnout pairs an AI agent with licensed human advocates to help people navigate government, insurance, healthcare and education bureaucracies. Jake handles tasks such as waiting on hold, chasing records and filling out applications, flagging cases where a human advocate needs to step in for matters requiring empathy or expertise.
